Chapter 4, no wait Chapter 7

‘Wild at heart’ is one of those books you will love to hate to love… are you following me?!? Well, maybe not but it’s exactly what I’m trying to say. I’m not really going to dwell into the book, since most of us have read this book and know how the pages unfolds our emotions like a delicate origami of the heart. Instead I want to talk a bit about what the book has enabled me to do since re-reading it this time around. As my title stated, chapter 4 was a place where I wanted to start; however after paying a little more attention to chapter 7, I found that healing is far greater than running through the emotions of hurt. And please don’t get me wrong. I had to go through the valley of pain and disposition in order to understand how to pin point where the wound originated. Without chapter 4 I wasn’t able to pin point or tell how to deep and wide the wound was. I needed to tell where the pain came from.

Haven’t you had a bad sleep? The whole night you keep tossing and turning trying to rest your head in the soft comforts of your pillows. But it doesn’t happen that way, instead frustration sets because you know wake up time is just round the corner and the now fatigued eyes view the red, almost blaring, digits of your alarm clock reminding you sleep is but a fleeting thought. Well with my wound(s) that is exactly how I feel. This only enhances the spiritual battle I fight every day of my life. When I’m tired and not well rested, Satan attacks with all his might trying to knock me down to my knees. He will hold no prisoners for his task is my death, my spiritual death. But then:

I’m reminded of this…

As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?

And God says:

‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
      and they will prophesy.
19I will show wonders in the heaven above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20The sun will be turned to darkness
      and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
 21And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved

To God be the Glory…

Roberto
